War on Cancer: Craig Melvin shares his brother’s colon cancer battle
As TODAY continues its special series “War on Cancer,” TODAY’s Craig Melvin shares a story very close to him: His 39-year-old brother Lawrence Meadows is battling stage 4 colon cancer. Melvin says people with a family history, particularly African-Americans, should talk to their doctor about a screening plan. More on this story here.

Together We Fight Cancer (TWFC) is a non-profit, international organization dedicated to providing information and assistance to the general public concerning colon cancer and other degenerative diseases.
The Organization collects, distributes and educates the public about therapies which have proven healing qualities, with an emphasis on the treatment and prevention of colon cancer.
TWFC also provides support and medical supplies and equipment to other organizations, hospitals and clinics. General assistance is also provided to colon cancer patients and their families through local support groups.
